In his insightful book "Outliers," Malcolm Gladwell emphasizes the pivotal role of hard work, dedication, and persistence in achieving success.

Hailing from Kenya, a land rich in culture and tradition, I carry with me the spirit of resilience and perseverance that defines the Kenyan people.

My journey to where I am today, is a testament to the values of hard work, determination, and a relentless pursuit of excellence that my parents instilled in me from a young age.

I write this post today, excited as NoliQ is one of twelve semifinalists in the BevNet competition; a competition presented by CocaCola, where new beverage entrepreneurs present their business strategies and products to a panel of judges gaining exposure, receiving feedback, and securing partnerships or investments. 

As, I navigate the path towards achieving my goals,  I must recognize the significance of my alcohol-free lifestyle that led me to this opportunity.

I made a decision to stop drinking alcohol about two years ago, during a restless phase in my life, where I was looking for purpose. 

By choosing a lifestyle free from alcohol and embracing healthier alternatives, I empower myself to stay focused, motivated, and committed to realizing my purpose. This led me to start NoliQ by Wanyinz, a resource hub for everything alcohol-free, with the hopes that we can empower others so they too can enjoy the benefits of a life unencumbered by alcohol. 

In many ways, my story embodies the essence of the American dream - the opportunity to pursue my passions, overcome challenges, and carve out a path to success through hard work and dedication.

By blending the values of my Kenyan heritage with the opportunities afforded by the American dream, I am able to chart a course towards a brighter future filled with promise and possibility.

So, as I continue on this journey of growth and self-discovery, I am reminded of the profound impact of hard work, sobriety, and the values that have shaped me into the person I am today.

Here's to embracing our heritage, pursuing our dreams, and living a life fueled by passion, purpose, and unwavering determination.
